The only school in Bergamo and its province accredited in section "A" by the Lombardy Region with a tailoring focus.
The SILV School is accredited by the Lombardy Region, in Section "A." The association has been active since January 1982 and collaborates with fashion industry professionals to design and manage lessons. All compulsory education courses are free because they are funded by the Lombardy Region through the DOTE system.
The Bergamo school, based on the development of the scientific method of size grading and constant technological updates, allows for optimal preparation in professional skills. The SILV school is equipped with air-conditioned rooms and uses state-of-the-art teaching tools: tablets, PCs, interactive whiteboards, computerized sewing machines, and professional overlockers.

CLOTHING AND HOME TEXTILE PRODUCTS OPERATOR - TAILOR'S WORK - THREE-YEAR COURSE
Daytime frequency
The courses after the third year of middle school aim to offer a qualification in the fashion sector.
The Clothing and Home Textile Operator - Tailoring Profile course provides the skills needed to perform, at an executive level, with limited autonomy and responsibility, activities related to the production of custom-made clothing: creation of sketches and patterns, execution of cutting, assembly and packaging of the tailored product and/or re-adaptation of existing garments.
Recipients
Students who have completed the first cycle of education (lower secondary school).
Duration
3 years.
Title obtained
Upon completion of the three-year program and passing a final exam, students will be awarded a Professional Qualification Certificate as a Clothing and Home Textile Operator - Profile: Tailoring, including a description of the skills acquired.
The qualification is valid, like school qualifications, for fulfilling the obligation to attend school and the right-duty to education and training.
It is a qualification recognised throughout the country and its correspondence with the third European level of skills (EQF level III – European Qualification Frameworks) makes it recognisable even within the wider European Union.
LEATHER GOODS PROCESSING OPERATOR - THREE-YEAR COURSE
Daytime frequency
The courses after the third year of middle school aim to offer a qualification in the fashion sector.
The Leather Goods Processing Operator course provides the skills to participate in the leather goods manufacturing process, with autonomy and responsibility limited to the requirements of the procedures and methods governing its operation. Qualification in the application and use of basic methodologies, tools, and information enables students to perform activities requiring skills related to the preparation, cutting, and assembly of leather goods components within the processing and manufacturing of leather goods.

Students who have completed the first cycle of education (lower secondary school).

CLOTHING AND HOME TEXTILE TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA - FASHION DESIGN AND FASHION EVENTS
IV YEAR
Daytime frequency
The course aims to achieve a level of technical competence (corresponding to European Level IV) of awareness and mastery of the professional area that will facilitate entry into the world of work with a professional profile intermediate between management and execution, with a specialization of skills for the development of a fashion brand and the organization of fashion shows.
Recipients
Students completing a coherent Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification program who wish to continue their education to acquire a higher level of technical expertise in their professional field and to obtain a license to run their own business or become a technical manager for a company in the sector.
Duration
1 year.
Title obtained
Upon completion of the program and passing a final exam, students will be awarded a Professional Diploma in Clothing and Home Textile Technician - Specialization: Fashion Design and Fashion Events, including a description of the skills acquired.
It is a qualification recognised throughout the country and its correspondence with the IV European level of skills (EQF level IV – European Qualification Frameworks) makes it recognisable even within the wider European Union.
V YEAR FOR ACCESS TO THE STATE EXAM - MATURITY
Recipients
Subject to annual authorization from the Lombardy Region Daytime attendance Target audience Students completing four-year Professional Education and Training (IeFP) courses, who have obtained a diploma (EQF level IV) consistent with the major and who wish to continue their training path to acquire a higher level of technical competence in the professional profile and to obtain a high school diploma

Fashion shows and courses
The Silv Fashion School Association periodically organizes fashion shows to allow students to showcase their work and to connect them with fashion personalities invited to these major events.
The atmosphere at the Bergamo-based school, especially around fashion shows, is decidedly positive and full of the glamour typical of large fashion shows.
The constant commitment of the students and staff working with the Silv School is immediately evident in the diverse range of courses offered: fashion design, figure drawing, pattern making, stylists, professional fashion and tailoring courses, clothing design, haute couture training, and tailoring. The educational offering is complemented by dedicated training courses in cutting and sewing, pattern making, cutting and tailoring, and dressmaking.
