THEATRICAL COSTUME DESIGNER COURSE IN BERGAMO

Contact

The Theatrical Costume Designer course is a professional training for those who wish to design and realize theatrical costumes. This involves interacting with all of the professionals and artisans who collaborate in the creation and realization of a theatrical performance, designing and directing the tailoring of the costumes until the actual staging.

Our program offers the advantage of the collaboration and teachings of top professionals in the sector.

Coordinated by the school's artistic director, the renowned masked artist Franz Cancelli, students learn to recognize and develop the many and varied interpretative approaches to the design of stage costumes. They will learn how to create figurines to illustrate the themes defined by the director, to create patterns and to package them for presentation.

Since 2017 the Silv school began a collaboration with the Duchy of Piazza Pontida, a partnership of culture and tradition in Bergamo, creating costumes for Opera Lirica for productions that are organized each year by the Duchy in Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo Alta. Another important theatrical collaboration is with the Circolo Musicale Mayr-Donizetti.
